More of a suggestion than a review.everyday i walk past the shop with our dog, sometimes twice a day, i think the business would benefit from a tidy up, lots of waste on the pavement, mdf, packaging, large trade bin on the pavement, glass outside (its been there 2 years, probably from the pub nearby but you'd clean it up regardless) and now old kitchen appliances outside, even the scrap man has no use for some things! owner seems to think its fine to park his car on the pavement too.
I recently saw a Westside magazine piece about family values etc.obviously respect for local residents would be good too, theres enough business's in that area that don't care, it would be great if such a long standing one would take the lead and show residents that local businesses do care, who knows it may even help win some business!

David Martin and his team recently carried out some very complex and detailed joinery for us, creating an exact replica of a large exterior structure, the original one of which was built over 100 years ago and was well rotted. The ornate detail found in this type of traditional structure is seldom seen in this day in age and we searched tirelessly to find a joiner who had the ability to carry out complex work like this (most of the other reputable companies in the area were totally flummoxed by the potential challenge, telling us to opt for a simpler 'design'- and we tried many!).
Thankfully we finally stumbled upon David through the Guild of Master Craftsmen after a bit of thinking outside the box.
I was under the impression initially that the company specialised only in kitchens but thought it worth a try as they are part of the well respected Guild.
David promptly turned up well presented and calmly assured us that his team would comfortably be able to recreate the splendour of this structure to the most minute detail. They had a whole range of custom cutters made bespoke for the job so they could replicate every last detail faithfully, making absolutely everything from scratch- with a wonderful end result.
A fine grade of rock solid and rot resistant genuine mahogany was used throughout the process to ensure longevity. I visited their immaculate workshops while they were making this piece and was left with a good impression and also had a chance to admire some of their examples of well joined cabinetry. Special thanks to John who I understand has over 30 years of joinery experience and who worked solidly in the workshop crafting this one-of-a-kind piece- seriously impressive! The whole process including the 3 day fitting ran smoothly without any issues and Richard, Bruce and John all did a sterling job on installing it. Highly recommended!

I am writing to say how pleased I am with the work your company has done for me. Having been dissatisfied with my previous choice of kitchen I appreciate having as much time as I wanted to discuss the difficulties of the space available the way I wanted to use the kitchen and the space available. The installation and fitter were courteous and friendly and paid a lot of attention to detail The finished kitchen is a pleasure to use I would be happy to recommend your company

David was on hand for us at any stage of our project, should we need to ask him questions and was very generous with his time. My initial reluctance at the potential upheaval was totally unfounded. David and his team of professionals have carried out their work to a high degree of competence in a very pleasant manner. Everything was left clean and tidy every day. We are highly delighted with the finished work and would unreservedly recommend David J Martin Joinery to anyone.
