NMB Kitchens & Bathrooms

Nev came out to design and plan my single storey extension with a new kitchen diner and w.c. Nev gave practical advice and options to suit my needs and assigned Ben and Ryan to deliver the build. Each week Ben would advise me of the work to be completed and without fail would deliver to time, budget and quality despite torrential rain, hail and snow. Ben offered solutions to achieve the required outcomes and pointed out pros and cons to enable informed decisions to be made. Ryan's plastering was finished to a high quality. Ben found ways to keep a separate family living space during the build and enable the use of my old cooker, washer and sink.

I am completely satisfied with the work that was carried out and the job was signed off without any issues. I would have no hesitation in recommending NMB for future work. NMB completely met all of my expectations and more.

We couldn't be more pleased with our new kitchen. The work involved knocking through a structural wall, removal of chimney breast, new door and window, creation of new utility room and new downstairs toilet, plus full new kitchen. These guys are real professionals and we always felt like we were in safe hands. Nev spent lots of time with us going through the design, answering any questions and was always quick to respond to any queries. The fitting team were also exceptional.

We'd had some bad experiences with tradesmen before we approached Nev, some of them incompetent and unprofessional, others just plain criminal, so we were a little wary about getting more work done. Thankfully this didn't last long, because from the preliminary meeting right through to the job's completion we felt that we were in safe hands with the very best people on the job. We're absolutely delighted with the finished results from Nev at NMB and his team. NMB are a breath of fresh air after dealing with many tradesmen over the years. We have recently had a new Kitchen fitted by NMB. This was not a straight forward project as it required incorporating two rooms into one. We have not had the best of experiences with builders in the past but Nev, Ben and Ryan were great and very patient with us throughout the project. We recently used NMB for our kitchen renovation. The job involved turning 3 smaller rooms in to one large space which required installing steel joists. Whilst not everything went to plan (as with most projects of this size!), we always felt supported by Nev, with all obstacles being overcome quickly and effectively. Kitchen was fitted during half term with the kids in the house and Eddie worked it so that there was minimal disruption, and the final kitchen is fantastic, with the fit and finish 100%. We have a very small kitchen but didn't want to lose outdoor yard space by extending as we use that a lot in the summer. This meant that our very small kitchen wasn't an easy job. We had got other building and kitchen firms to quote for the job but none of them approached it with the thought and time at the planning stage that Nev (and Eddy on the second visit) did.

He made suggestions about altering the layout which hadn't occured to anyone else who had seen the kitchen and it has made a world of difference. They aren't massive changes and you would really need to think about the space and the job to ever come up with quite minor adjustments that weren't horrible costly but make SUCH a beneficial change. The new kitchen now works so much better than the old in terms of worktop spaces and location of appliances.

We were really glad we chose the firm because otherwise we'd have paid good money to have the same less efficient layout put in again. North Manchester Builders got our job scheduled in really soon (we'd been afraid it wouldn't be possible before Christmas because we didn't decide to get the work done until the late summer/early autumn). As it was it was done by late November and we're now enjoying cooking in it so much more than we did in the old one.

We also found it really reassuring that the price agreed was what it ended up costing (no upward creep as we've experienced with other firms). We're very pleased and now the kitchen feels like it actually belongs to the rest of the house and is no longer the embarrasing bit we never got round to sorting because we couldn't find the right people for the job - we did, it was North Manchester Builders.

I've now recommended them to my Mum who before she found them had been waiting to fit a kitchen for about two years with an empty shell, again after being scared by other firms letting her down. She's going to finally have a kitchen in time for Christmas too! I'll put up some before and after photos if it allows me to add them later.

North Manchester Builders were tasked with building a kitchen extension to our property and installing a new bathroom. This meant knocking through into our garage and raising the roof of the garage and constructing new external walls. The kitchen was chosen and installed through NMB and the entire project from start to finish took around 10 weeks which was bang on NMB's target.

They were fantastic, Ben was on site every day and Nev coordinated everything else. The project ran really smoothly and we are impressed with the high quality of the finish. Nev was on hand after the build had finished as well to answer any questions and sort out any small teething problems. Overall we're really happy with NMB, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and we plan on using them again in the future for further building work on the house.
