Services
As our name suggests, we offer a range of original antique cast iron baths, which date from the 1880s. We rescue, restore and renovate these baths to their former beauty. It calls for old-fashioned craftsmanship, care and attention to detail that is second to none. It makes a real and lasting difference.
Take a browse through some of our previously sold cast iron baths and other items for inspiration. Our cast iron baths are timeless, stylish and can turn an otherwise boring bathroom into something truly spectacular. We offer a full range of exterior Dulux Satinwood 'Heritage' colours or your own colour choice.
Outside cast will be restored but retain all its unique and original cast and moulding imperfections. Do you own an original cast iron roll top bath that needs restoration? Our expert craftsmen will ensure a superb restoration. Due to the exhaustive process, it has to take place on site at our Ivybridge workshops and takes four weeks minimum.

Great Service. They don't make cast iron baths like they used to anymore, so the only option is to restore. Alison and Stef were great to deal with, and very accommodating with advising on the best /cost effective restoration, and sourcing a specific under colour. They were also very good in sorting out an issue with the return courier.

Excellent service from start to finish. Collected and dropped off our bath. Communication through emails and telephone. Photographic updates throughout. Very friendly and approachable. I was a complete beginner organising a refurbished bath! They are highly educated in this area And knew exactly what they were doing, 100% confidence in them. Highly recommend.

We always liked the idea of having a cast iron bath and it has been an ambition of ours to revive an original, which can be bought relative cheaply. The renovation process, if done properly, does come at a cost. But probably remains cheaper than buying a new bath and works better for the circular economy. What we hadn't anticipated though, was how attached we would become to the bath through renovation, and feel responsible as custodians of an original. Having researched a number of companies we decided to go with Stef and Alison of Antique Baths of Ivybridge.
The knowledge and care they put into the whole process filled us with confidence. The renovation was thorough and produced great results which we are really pleased with. But beyond that, we really enjoyed being involved in each step of the renovation. Stef and Alison gave sound advice throughout. They were able to source and renovate antique taps that worked with the soap dish that was integral to the bath. Stef restored the original brass waste pipe fittings so we didn't have to discard them and buy new.
Between us we were able to source and fit an antique plunger tube; we leant a lot about the history of these baths along the way! An original repair to the bath, possibly during the casting, was revealed, adding more personality and history to the bath. We even found an old coin wedged in the feet when they were removed for priming dating from the 1930s!
I gave that a polish too. The layers of priming should see it protected for a good few years to come and the enamelling is excellent. We were able to choose the exact paint we required. A few inevitable scratches getting the bath up the tight bends of the stairs were repaired by Stef, who clearly takes great pride in the quality of his work. The final result is perfect. Thank you Antique Baths of Ivybridge!

We had our original 1930's cast iron bath refurbished 2 months ago and we are over the moon with the result. Stef and Alison were so helpful and kept in contact throughout the process which took about 4 weeks. I could not have been more pleased with the bath, it came up looking like new. Stef was also able to advise on the various pipe connections that connect to the waste/overflow etc and was able to order these for us. Also he is able to refurbish old taps. Thank you so much, I would highly recommend.
